Birding : Always interested in wildlife as I was a country boy, and from the age of around 11 started birding more & more.

First Birding Memory : I remember on a holiday in Wales seeing Buzzards and Redstarts outside our cottage, and on the same holiday we saw 12 Curlew which at the time I thought was a brilliant bird.

Best British Bird : this has to be Ring Ouzel I really love seeing them.

Best Bird : Roller seen 3 now 2 in Greece and one in Egypt.

Best Birding Memory : Pallas's Grasshopper Warbler. It wasn't so much the bird but the situation of all the birders trying to jump ditches that were 10 metres wide then wondering why their feet got wet. People were searching for there scopes in the sweuda after they had abanded them so they could jump higher. I just found this very funny - or maybe you had to be there.

Best Bird Finds in Britian :Red-eyed Vireo, Barred Warbler, Marsh Warbler, Arctic Redpoll, Red-footed Falcon, Purple Heron, Woodchat Shrike and Ring Ouzels

Target Bird : To see a Roller in Britain.

My Birding : Nearly all of my birding is done in Norfolk and about 3/4 times a year I venture further for lifers.
